I know this is a stupid question, but what exactly is a texture? ;o; I have an idea of what it is, because people mention it on descs of their really cool pictures.. but.. I don't really solidly know what it is ^^ Can you please tell me? I want to use them (newb on photoshop ._.) because they look awesome :D

A texture is (usually) a free-for-use image of a pattern or similar than an artist can use in their artwork in whatever way they choose (following the rules of the provider, of course). In my case, I filter them to create certain effects on my artworks. :3 Most artists use them on digital works, but there are probably ways to use them as prints in traditional works. You should have a look around this website [link] if you're interested in using them. Just make sure you check out their FAQ for rules on usage. I hope I've helped.
